How your Contribution Helps...

 

• The Star Theatre was built in 1956 and turns 70 this year!  It not only provides a beautiful and historic home for our productions and academy, it also is available to the community at large for use for their own arts programming.  This makes this amazing venue our greatest asset and one of our largest expenses. Your donation is essential to our effort in keeping our historical community arts center shining bright!

• The Star Theatre is home to two theatre companies, Star Theatre Company and Star Theatre Youth Company, which accommodate the performing needs of children and adults in the North County San Diego area. Your donation provides equipment for sound, lighting, in addition to sets, building materials and of course, costumes for our incredible productions!

• Your contribution helps us provide the very best experience for our students! Here at the Star Theatre, we provide a wide array of programming for arts education for all ages! We offer courses such as MT101 and Summer Camps (ages 7-12), Glee Club and Teen Triple Threat (ages 12-18), StarCo Actors Collective (18+), Performing Without Barriers for our intellectually disabled adult community, and our new Saturday Dance Intensives for all ages! 

• Your contribution ensures that all of our creative and artistic opportunities are available to everyone in our community through scholarships and financial aid, especially the underserved.

• Your contribution will also help us continue to support the hard-working staff at the Star, including our directors, choreographers, technicians, course instructors, production support and our main office.

• Finally, in all these ways and more, your contribution helps us to fulfill our 501(c)(3) Mission with accordance with our Vision and Values.
