Come along and listen to the lullaby of Broadway! 42nd Street celebrates Broadway, Times Square and the magic of show biz with wit, humor and pizzazz. At the height of the Great Depression, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. But just before opening night, the leading lady breaks her ankle. Will Peggy be able to step in and become a star? The score is chock-full of Broadway standards, including "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me," "Dames," "We're In the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and "Forty-Second Street.  Rated: PG

AUDITION INFORMATION

Auditions will take place at: 402 North Coast Highway, Oceanside

 

Please prepare 1 verse and 1 chorus from a song, (32 bars). Your song choice should be a musical theatre song in the style of the 1930s-1940s or classic Broadway. Bring a karaoke version of your song on a phone or electronic device. 

 

We WILL NOT have a piano accompanist. 

 

Bring one headshot and one resume.

Bring a list of your conflicts with you. It's important for the directors to know what your schedule is to make sure you are available for all of the rehearsals you will be required to attend. 

 

Auditions: September 14th and 15th.

Call Backs: Wednesday, September 16th by director invitation only.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals begin September 21st.

Tech Week: October 26th - 29th.
