Swing Choir is an energetic musical ensemble that combines vocal performance with choreographed dancing.  Under the direction of Averill Corkin, students will learn proper breathing, posture, basic music theory, and vocal technique, as well as choreography specifically designed for our swing choirs.  Performers will sing a wide variety of songs from Broadway, Pop, Jazz and beyond.

 

At the conclusion of the 11 week course, the swing choir will perform a showcase on the Historic Star Theatre stage as well as perform at various local venues and community events.
